ServSafe Manager’s Certification Classes
ServSafe®is a comprehensive food safety certification training course aimed to help reduce the risk of foodborne illness by promoting sanitation in the food service industry. ServSafe® is recognized by more federal, state and local health jurisdictions than any other food safety training program in the United States.
The course includes some of the following topics:
- Food Safety Hazards
- Introduction to the HACCP system
- Purchasing & Receiving Safe Food
- Storing, Preparing, & Serving Safe Food
- Proper Cleaning & Sanitation of Facilities & Equipment
All classes will be taught by a Registered Dietitian that is a certified instructor recognized by the National Restaurant Association.
Training materials used to teach the course are from the Educational Foundation of the National Restaurant Association.
A certificate will be provided upon satisfactory completion of the course and passing the exam.
Continuing education is available for RDs, CDMs, and Chefs.
Classes will run from 8:30am-5pm for one day.
Class size will be limited.
Cost is $190 for non-Carolina Nutrition affiliates and $175 for Carolina Nutrition affiliates. (The price includes the cost of the course book and exam of $82.50)
Class fees cover cost of course book, exam, certified instructor, training materials, & room rentals. LUNCH is NOT PROVIDED.
Course book and a detailed agenda will be mailed at least 3 weeks prior to the course.
